Video Installation - 12 minute loop    2016

 

‘Maya’ was made with the intention of making explicit the universality and constancy of breath, the transience of emotion, and the power of each breath laden with feeling dispersed out into the air around us. Each one of us subtly affects our world and others with our breath.

The video sound is of breath deviating and returning to a sleeping breath through a variety of emotional states. The image is a constant rhythm of resting breath.
